Road Trip #398 - I-24 East - Georgia Mile 168 / I-59 to Tennessee Mile 185 / I-75

This series covers a trip we took to Virginia, picking up at the northern terminus of I-59 in Dade County, Georgia. We head east on I-24 and into Tennessee and the city of Chattanooga. We conclude this video at the eastern terminus of I-24 at I-75.

Sevierville, Sevier County. We enter Knox County, and then the city of
Knoxville, concluding at Exit 386B.

We continue west along I-40, beginning at Mile 432 in Cocke County near
the western edge of the city of Newport. We drive into Jefferson
County, and through the town of Dandridge, the "second oldest city in
Tennessee". From exit 415 to Exit 407, Tennessee State Route 66 runs
concurrent with I-40. We enter Sevier County and the city of
Sevierville, which is near the towns of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We
conclude at Exit 407.

We enter the state of Tennessee on I-40, heading west into Cocke County.
 Here, I-40 is called the Troy A. McGill Memorial Highway.  We finish
at Exit 432A in the city of Newport.

Road Trip #394 - I-40 West - North Carolina Mile 20 to Tennessee State Line

This will be the last video in North Carolina on I-40. We begin in
Haywood County at Mile 20, and drive west through the Smoky Mountains on
a steep and winding highway. Along this route, we see low speed limits
and warning signs of rock slides. We also encounter a tunnel. We
finish up at the Tennessee State Line.

Buncombe County, starting in the city of Asheville. We then cross into
Haywood County, and through the town of Canton. We finish at Exit 20.

County, and enter the county seat of Marion. Then we pass through the
town of Old Fort. We enter the Pisgah National Forest, and the
Appalachian Mountains, and begin to climb. At the summit, we cross the
Eastern Continental Divide, and descend into Buncombe County and into
the town of Black Mountain, where we end the video at Exit 64.

Catawba County. We pass through the cities of Conover and Hickory, and

Rutherford College, and Valdese, concluding at Mile 112.
