Tremé is a neighborhood of the city of New Orleans, in the U.S. state of
Louisiana. "Tremé" is often rendered as Treme, and historically the
neighborhood is sometimes called by its more formal French names of
Faubourg Tremé; it is listed in the New Orleans City Planning Districts
as Tremé / Lafitte when including the Lafitte Projects. Originally known
as "Back of Town", urban planners renamed the neighborhood "Faubourg
Tremé" in an effort to revitalize the historic area. A subdistrict of

We continue east on I-10 in Texas, now called the Katy Freeway. We
begin in Waller County, and enter the city limits of Katy, then moving
into Fort Bend County and Harris County before reaching the Houston city
limits. Ahead, we'll see two large 5-level stack interchanges at the
outer and intermediate Houston loops, and we'll drive along the widest
section of the Katy Freeway...the widest freeway in the world!

conclude at Exit 734. We're now getting into the Houston Metropolitan
Area. I-10 becomes the Katy Freeway where we cross into Waller County.

and then SR-8 makes a right turn, avoiding the town center. An SR-8

Winston-Salem, NC for the night. This was a big mistake, as we didn't
realize that it would be almost a 3 hour drive from the Parkway. During
this trip, we drove Virginia State Route 8, which later becomes North
Carolina State Route 8. This interesting little highway twists and
turns through the mountains and has some steep grades, and some of the
best scenery we saw on this trip. Here it is! The weather was nice
throughout most of this video with a short rain shower near the middle.
Note the vintage Motel right off the Parkway, and abandoned buildings
after we pass through the town of Woolwine.

Road Trip #357 - US-190 West - LA-113/Reeves to LA-110/Longville, Louisiana
We continue west on US-190, beginning at Reeves, Louisiana in Allen
Parish. On this strech of road, we see about 10 miles without any major
crossroads, and we also run into some bad weather with dark skies and a
brief rain shower. On the way, we enter Beauregard Parish. As we
approach the junction of US-171 at Ragley, some ambiguous signage led us
to believe that US-190 followed a different path from US-171, and we
missed our turn. Once we corrected this and headed north on the
concurrency of US-190 and US-171, the weather cleared up and we actually
had some good lighting, with the sun behind us. We conclude at the
census designated place of Longville.
